I hope so, I can't wait to see it! My husband is even excited about it and he doesn't even like flowers! I will post a pic when it blooms!

Warmth and humidity will accelerate the opening.

Oh yeah...your plant is not a "she"; it is equally male and female. "It" is more appropriate.

A lot of people call their plants 'he' or 'she' for the fun of it, not that we think it has a gender.

Just a matter of speech I guess. I never really referred to it as he or she before, kind of like we refer to our motorhome as she. Is she? Not really. I didn't know that about orchid genders though.

Has the one big bud started opening yet?? Its been a few days since the first post was just wondering how he/she/it . Is doing a lot of us on here give our baby's gender some even give them names, not to worry
