Shary Baby rescue

I ordered a Shary Baby division from Florida (to N. Ca.) It took 6 days and the pot was splintered, exposing roots to cold and dryness. One pseudobulb is brown and wrinkled, one is split open, and the third is partly brown but did plump up with water. I put some superthrive on the roots and today I'll repot. Should I break away both damaged bulbs first? Any recommendations on treating this poor Baby?

Are the bulbs you are planning to break off rotted? If they were rotted, I would take them off, before the rot spreads.
I would give these divisions TLC the first few weeks to make sure they survive. They've been in a lot of stress, and I guess they should be soaked in water so that they can plump up

I'd file a complaint with the shipping company.

I'd contact the vendor file a complaint and get a replacement from them. If they ship on a monday it should take 4 days at the most but usually 3. Only thing I see is they shipped mid week got held over a weekend or due to the weather in the middle area of the U.S.
I'm waiting on a order from IL. They aren't shipping until a window in the weather allows for it to come through with no delays.
