I think you might be the opposite of me, I don't worry enough sometimes. :P I know nothing about these plants but they seem ok to me.

They look great. I know cattleya buds will drop in the same manner before blooming. Just breathe, and enjoy.

yep, looks perfectly normal! the buds rotate like this sometimes to align themselves correctly (get a phal-type dendrobium and watch their buds...they grow upside down, then spin 180 degrees about a week before opening. it's fascinating). if they don't move like this, the flower's lip would be pointing either up or straight out at a 90 degree angle from the spike. and hey, don't feel bad, we've ALL been worried and impatient about our plants and flowers before. right now, i'm watching a bud on my mini psychopsis like a HAWK, worrying over every little thing cuz i'm just excited to see it bloom. trust me, i know the feeling

I'm not an Oncidium grower (nor do I play one on TV), but I spent the better part of today at Carter & Holmes, where they had a bench of beautiful plants - some in bloom and others budding - and they looked like yours. So I'd say you are doing okay! |
