| Pacific Monarch?
Im wondering is my "Pacific Matriarch" a Noid, a Phrag or a phads? I am very new at this. Also live in Alaska where it will be super cold come winter. No window in the bathroom but nice humidity after shower. From what I read so far the Orchid needs constant humidity!? How about artificial light for my Pacific beauty? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"Im wondering is my "Pacific Matriarch" a Noid, a Phrag or a phads?" The International Orchid Register | Royal Horticultural Society This is the site to check for the parents of your Pacific Matriarch. Search under the Grex tab. I checked, and couldn't get a match. Is there more to the name? Paula |

I searched the RHS database. There's no orchid that's been named Pacific Matriarch. I did some more searching elsewhere and found a reference to a Beallara Patricia McCully 'Pacific Matriarch'. Does your orchid look like this?: http://i.pbase.com/o6/87/836387/1/94...cMatriarch.JPG

it's not really clear what you're asking about. there is a Paphiopedilum Pacific Monarch, but no Pacific Matriarch. Pacific Beauty could refer to a Dendrobium, Odontioda, or Paphiopedilum. Kevin, your links will only work if the person viewing the thread has already seen that image on the Pbase site. The Pbase Help site has a section on direct linking. this should work: (Beallara Patricia McCully 'Pacific Matriarch') |
