Is it good to have new roots growing?

I recently posted asking people how I could get my orchid to flower. I've been checking it regularly and have a couple of new leaves but I have also noticed 3 new root shoots appearing...is this a good sign

Smile

Hello,
Its in its growing stage. Depending on what type of orchid it is some bloom once a year some several times throughout the year.
New growth is always good news ; )

.....

You will have spikes too...just observe your orchid to see some slightly raised points or dots on the base of the stem, or in the small abyss of the oldest leaf..keep an eye..you will get spikes from these raised points soon...let them get the morning sun, water them once a week, wipe off the leaves with a dry kitchen towel, they will be happy....Give the same climate to them as you would like to keep yourself....you will get a nice feeling along with your orchid...

your avatar is an equestris type phal. unless you pour gasoline on it, you can't *not* have flowers. when these bloom, they often pop out flowers for months, if not years. in fact, you'll probably get tired of it eventually.
