fallen orchid plant

Can someone advise me as to how I should return a fallen King?? orchid to the gum tree from which it has dropped. It had previously been on the tree for at least 15 years and is fairly large. As it is nearly time for it to flower it is devasting to think we may have lost our beautiful spring blossoms. Does it need any feeding? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Trottie

G'Day Trottie

Is it in your property or in the national park? I would ring Parks and Wildlife Ranger and explain your predicament. Feel sure they would be able to help.

Cheers
Bernie

Stockings used to tie and wee bit of spagnum moss always help mounted plants.

Leave the stocking there forever. It will eventually rot away.
