Waterlily is on a distinguished road
Orchids still not doing great, more lost leaves..

Well My dendrobium got two more yellow leaves. When those drop I will only have 3 left of the 7 it started out with 2 weeks ago. Weird thing is it skipped some leaves!!! From the bottom of the plant going up, There is one green leaf, followed by two yellow leaves, and then the two top leaves are green. Why would the bottom leaf be ok and the next two leaves turn yellow? I thought that was odd, but then again I dont really know orchids.

The ebay seller contacted me about my orchids. He had some nasty things to say to me in addition to I should have used sphagnum moss for my phal instead of the bark. Is this true? Should I repot asap?

I moved all my orchids into my plant room where they will be warmer and have more light.

I was also told the phal doesnt need much light at all. It is now under the lamp, should I move it to a shadier spot?

Also, Im not quite sure if my orchids are too warm. I dont have a thermometer (I plan on getting one tomorrow) but the leaves feel slightly warm to the touch, but not hot. Is this ok? Thanks for any suggestions. Im trying to save these things. I never thought it would be so hard.

Lilly, I find the look of your plants not quite right. I think you need to inspect them carefully. Possibly mites.

Check my description of how to look for mites in this post: http://www.orchidgeeks.com/forum/gen...ighlight=mites

Thank you. I will look it over tonight when I get off work. I really hope that is not the problem.
