Purple growth on Catt?

There are 4 of these purple, sappy growths. What are they?

It looks like new growth before it turns green.

All sympodial orchids, and that is what you have, produce a new bulb/growth each year, and sometimes more often. This is the future of the plant as all growths will eventually die of old age.

These new growths, when they mature, if all has gone well, will produce the next flowers on the plant.

Thank you everyone for the quick response.... This is my first cattleya type orchid. It wasn't really doing anything for the first 2 months and I was beggining to worry that my conditions weren't right for it.
