Orchid seeds are typically germinated in sterile conditions, growing in a sterile environment on nutrient with agar.
If you do a search on here, or on the web, there is a lot of information on how to do this. The term typically used is flasking. So you should find a lot if you put in flasking orchids in your search engine.
There are also commercial flasking services available as well, but I'm not sure what's available in St. Croix.
And welcome!
