Moving orchid into batheroom for humidity

So this morning I moved my orchid into the bathroom for extra humidity while I took a shower..and then I moved it back into the bedroom. I was going to keep doing this every day, just for the extra humidity. I'm wondering if this may not be necessary, or if all this moving back and forth may be more determintal to my phal in the long run.

Also, I have a bent leaf that is cracked in the middle, but is green throughout, should I trim it?

Hi, schlyne. I don't know that moving your plant back and forth will harm it, but I don't think it's worth the bother for 20 minute's worth of humidity. Putting your phal on a humidity tray will give it moderate humidity at the leaf area where it counts, and that's usually enough for them.

A cracked leaf-- leave it on. If it's still green, it can still work for the plant.

I keep orchids in my bathroom and they seem to like it, I also do ok with keeping them in my kitchen as that's probably the most humid room in my flat (I don't actually have many rooms).
