| Yes, backbulbs with no leaves are one of the problems with potting on. The other is that the size of the pot gets too large and the mix does not dry fast enough. If you have a plant that looks like it holds its leavevs a long time, and you want to pot it on, use a bulb pan, a pot that is very short. If it is plastic, you can put a lot of extra holes in the bottom to help with drying. I understrand a clay pot can be drilled into with a ceramic/cement bit if you soak the pot first.
