I just received a black orchid as a gift. I have absolutely no experience with orchids. HELP!!!!!

Orchid Photo Identification Guide

and see if you find something that looks like your plant. we need to know what type it is first.

on the wild chance that it's a Dtps. Black Butterfly, go here

and download the care sheet for a phalaenopsis.

post a pic of it if you can and we will gladly pontificate on its care.

I think Coelogyne pandurata is sometimes called the black orchid. Try google on 'pandurata' and 'orchid'. Cynthia
