advice for a Newbie please

I have an orchid whose name i dont know...since i adopted her recently...
I see a small green bud after it had lost its blooms...
what could it be..
i attach a picture of it...
thanks for the advices.

that is just a pic of part of the orchids flower spike please post a full picture of the orchid.

you may have a Phalaenopsis Alliance

Yup its a pahleanopsis! That little green thing on the end of the spike (stem) is just the end of of it. It won't bloom. you can check out the American orchid Societies website and they have a culture sheet for phaleanopsis on the website! AOS | Members Only Area

Thanks for all your replies...It did not bloom...
However, I have two new spikes and one of them is in bloom now. The end of the spike has a bud similar to that I have shown...
I think i am learning more about orchids and their structures...
