| Our Phalaenopsis had 9 potential blooms on the stem. So far, 5 have whithered, turned yellow/pink, and dropped off w/o opening. This has happened about the last 4 times it has flowered. Many of the blooms will drop off without opening, and a few (maybe 3-4) will open and bloom for a long period. Any suggestions? |

| Yes, I think that the Phal. in my son's east facing bedroom may be getting too much direct sunlight in the morning; just a guess though. I noticed that the stem with all of the buds on it was just about right up against the window. He has 3 orchids on his desk in that area, and all are doing well, including the Phal. up to the time that the buds should open, then most decide to fall off. I pulled the pot back from the window, and it looks like a bloom may open. Thanks for the info! |
