I have a new Phalaenopsis wholephal.jpg And it's a mystery plant. The label was lost. I can't wait to see it bloom! I repotted it today, and the roots looked mostly good. It has been going through normal processes, I think. It lost two leaves at the base which turned yellow and dropped off, and is putting out new ones at the top. New roots are hidden behind the old leaf bases. Looks like some aerials. phal.jpg Is it growing roots above the soil like this because I am doing something wrong? One definite problem though, wrinkly leaf. wilty.jpg It is soft / squishy at the end, whereas the other leaf to the right is normal and firm, as are the others. What's wrong? Thank you very much for your help. Last edited by elmira; 05-04-2009 at 04:39 AM. Reason: for clarity |

Aerial roots are normal, give it some time to adjust to its new home. New leaves and good roots are a good sign!
