| Old backbulbs I just have a quick question about old backbulbs - if you have one that's turned brown, but isn't rotting, is it okay to just leave it? My oncidium Sharry Baby and my Enc. cochleata (cockleshell orchid) both have a brown backbulb each, but are putting out lots of healthy new growth. I don't want to disturb them unless it's really neccessary.
(BTW, the cockleshell orchid just finished blooming about two months ago and the Sharry Baby has yet to bloom - I bought it as a "mature size" orchid expected to bloom within a year.)
