Phal reppoting while new leaf comes

Hello all,

Like the title says I wanted to ask if it is safe and recommended to repot my Phal while a new leaf is on the way. The blooms are all over by now but a new leaf grows bigger day by day. Will I affect it's growth if I repot? How long does it take for a new leaf to fully grow? Should I wait or repot now?

Thanks,
Chris

Seems that a phal can be repotted just about any time. Most of the phals I buy are grown in spahg and are in bloom. I repot them withing a few days and don't loose any bloom.(90% of the time). A new leaf shows that the plant is actively growing and its a good time to repot.

Hi Chrisk.
If in the warm growing season I find they are a so forgiving plant you can repott them any time.
I have lots of them grown from flasks, so I do them in batched when the roots are filling the small pot.
Up they go into the next size pot, no mater if in bud or growing new leaves.
given the right conditions of warm they shoot away a if nothing has happened.
Love them.
Good growing
Ron
