Curved Leaf on Oncidium

I moved my rescue oncidium (saved from Lowes) recently to allow it more light during the day. The plant has responded to my obsessive care and I have a brand new large pseudobulb now with some leaves off of it.

Moving the plant closer to the window has resulted in the tips of the leaves to curl under. I have checked and there are no bugs of any kind so that eliminates that question. The leaf is still green after three days but seems to have lost its "lustre".

DId my move cook the leaves? I had checked the leafs in the first day after moving to insure they weren't getting warm in the new location just more light.

If you "cook" them they will be more than curled - like BROWN. As they approach maximum tolerable light I have noticed that they do change from a dark green to a more medium to almost semi-bleached out appearance. As you are suggesting - probably just aclimating to the change you have provided.

They have not gone brown and are staying curled. I went ahead today and had them repotted. It appears the medium (moss) needed to be replaced since one side was staying far moister than the other.

The owner of the greenhouse told me that the roots should recover and that's probably why the leaves curled slightly. The move to the window had nothing to do with it. Luckily, I am obsessed with these plants and noticed the change in the leaves. Now to monitor them in their new medium.

If they are not in the process of putting out some new roots expect it to sulk some more. Using a root stimulant like superthrive would probably give it a boost. mike
