Orchid ID and pest issues

Hello orchidgeeks, I need your help to identify a new orchid I was given yesterday. I only have Phals and Catts in my collection, so I'm not familiar with other species. I think it's an Odontoglossum, am I right? It was planted in soil, so I repotted it in bark.

Along with the plant came some uninvited guests (see the black spot on the right petal of the flower) that look like aphids. Unfortunately I noticed them after repotting. I checked the plant and they were only on the flowers as far as I could see. I removed them one by one with cotton swap dipped in alcohol. I also sprayed the whole plant with a mixture of water, alcohol and dishwashing detergent.
My question is, how often should I repeat the spraying and for how long should the plant remain isolated until declared pest-free?

Or is it an Oncidium?

Violetta,
I would say this is an Odontocidium. I've seen your's online before but can't find it now. Most of them are intermediate growers as it comes to temperature. Mine get a bit more light than the Phal's I have. They can grow outdoors, love a bit of early morning and late evening sun, dappled shade (hanging them in a tree provides good light/enough shade). Note that I'm in the Neterhlands and not in Cyprus ;-)

Well that makes sense, that's why I couldn't figure it out!
Thank you very much
