Vanda

Hello Orchid Lovers,
I have a Vanda that will not do anything. This Vanda was my first Orchid ever and the beginning of my love for orchids. I have 4 additional phals now and they are doing great. The Vanda was purchased as a gift from my husband. It was simply placed in a tall glass vase when I received it. I have tried hanging it inside and outside. FYI...I live in the Southern Region of Texas.
I have just ordered 5 of those new carousel pots for all my plants. I am also planning on ordering clay pebbles for all of my orchids. Bottom line i'm new to orchid world and struggling with this vanda.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What type of Vanda is it? Do you have a picture of it? Is it not growing leaves/roots or are you anxious to have it bloom?
Vase culture works well with these. You fill the vase with water, let soak ten minutes (the roots should turn green) and then drain off the water. The humidity is good for the roots. I would just leave it like this unless the roots don't fit in the vase.
How much light is your Vanda getting? They do take more light than a Phal. How are you fertilizing? Has your Vanda bloomed before or is it a seedling?
A picture would really help as well as some additional information on how you are growing your Vanda.
By the way, welcome to the forum!
