If you can post some pictures of the roots, leaves, etc. I'm sure they will be able to find out what's going on with your phal.

Hello, nika, and welcome!

Leopan is correct, pictures would help people know what is happening. Check the roots by taking the plant out of the pot and shaking off the planting medium. It sounds like the plant is not taking up water so the roots may be rotted.

Good luck!

Yep! We're here......
Of course.....the fact that the flowers & spike are declining has nothing to do with your plant dying - this is normal after a time. How much light do your plants get - is this the window they are always in? Which direction is it facing? How often do you water and how do you water? The fact that you have buds shriveling DOES indicate an issue - what kind of temperatures and/or drafts might you have it in?

Regarding the leaves, the picture of the whole plant shows leaves that are a dark green, darker than the yellowing leaves in your following pictures. If the yellow ones are at the base of the plant, they may just be older leaves dropping off, which is also normal for some plants, especially if they are not in perfect conditions.

Have you repotted the plant recently? If it has been a year or more, I would enjoy the blooms while they are nice and then repot with fresh medium to give the plant a boost.

Was it exposed to extreme low temperature recently? That could be the reason for the buds falling off (bud blast). Looks like the roots are pretty healthy. It doesn't look like it's dying.

i have one other orchid, which is near of this phal, they are in same temperature, they both receiving same light, in front of window but one looks very strong: has new branches, dark green leaves. it's not seems in photos as bad as really is. from 6 leaf, 3 which are in left side, are normal and others are yellows. there is always same, warm temperature in my house and i don't remember chilling i repoted my plant today and cut dead branches, have i already done any mistake? (branches were at the edge of falling down)

If you had one side only of the plant with yellow leaves I would wonder if the light streaming into the window is hitting this side of the plant only (directly)?
