Question Need help in identifying my orchid

Picked up this orchid several years ago from my neighbors' garbage & have been unable to identify her. She's a very vigorous grower & sometimes flowers twice a year.

Question Help in Identifying my orchid.

I picked up this orchid several years ago after my neighbor threw it out. She's a vigorous grower & sometimes flowers twice a year. I believe she's in the cattleya family but can't find a match-up. Does anyone know this orchid ?

It's a cattleya hybrid but that's likely as close as you will ever get to knowing the name.

Unknown (or NoID - No ID) Cattleya and a beautiful one at that.

While it is rarely possible to identify an unknown Cattleya hybrid with certainty, this one can be narrowed down to the range of hybrids that trace ancestry to both C. (or L.) pumila and C. walkeriana. C. (or Lc.) Mini Purple is the simplest of the type (pumila x walkeriana) but there are many others - Mahalo Jack and Fuchsia Doll just to name a couple. If you compare this to enough pictures of those crosses you will find some that look much like this, and some that do not. Hybrids are all variable, and similar hybrids are essentially indistinguishable, which is why you can't put a specific name on it.

The other thing to complicate it even further, is if you have a flask of hybrid seedlings, you could get several variations of the same plant out of the one flask.
