Dendrobium nobile-when to water

Hi everyone,I am a new member and I need your help!i got my very first dendrobium nobile orchids 2 weeks ago.when I got they had 3 tiny spikes.so now whether I should continue normal watering or should I continue winter rest?i read somewhere that you should continue winter rest until the spike develope blooms.is it right?

Depends on how warm it is and whether it is in active growth. I water my plants if winter rest has finished and plants are active again. Even if they are in flower late in the year.

What is the climate like where you are right now?

Thank you for the reply..Yes the new cane is in active growth and it is flowering from the older cane..it is very hot dry climate here..first one week I watered it normally and now I am afraid they are developing into keikis..not able to make out now..will post a picture soon
