LMAO I know sharyn.. I think i'm totally hooked! I'm literally going broke over here with the plants! And these Neo's are just so much fun! I'll be sure to take pics of my new Neo cherry blossom.. I wonder if this one will come blooming too.. (fingers crossed)
Thanks for the offer but I just gave a few of my quilting booklets/patterns to April since I'm trying to clear up stuff I don't use anymore. I don't think I'll have much time for sewing/quilting now. I think maybe when I'm retired I might get back into sewing.
April mentioned she did hand quilting. Wow, I don't know if I'll have the patience for that.
Orchids and gardening take all my free time. I found a ton of cross stitch stuff while I was going through my junk boxes. I was thinking of doing that again or learning how to knit. Things I can do when traveling other than read a book.
Hey, I'd love to see some quilts you and April have made.
I will email you some pics of my quilt room. I really love the Kona Bay Fabrics and have lots (LOL)! Have you done any fabric painting? I haven't but would like to try it. I have lots of ideas and so little time!
Sharyn, Hi, I am also a quilter. I love it and my husband and I just finished my new quilt room, not very big but mine! I think an orchid quilt would be great, I have also been thinking about one. Are you going to do picture transfer? I have used that and it works pretty good. I was thinking if using that maybe you could do B & W pics and then use fabric paint to enhance them even use beading. That is what is so cool about quilting! I would love to see pics of some of your quilts. I do hand piecing and hand quilting. I am now doing more machine piecing on my 1930 Singer hand crank machine. I also have a 1933 Frister and Rossmann hand crank. I love them! Glad to know a quilter in the group.
Hi Sharyn. I did a lot of sewing a long time ago. I was more into fashion design and tailoring but it's been years. I just sent some quilting booklet and batting to April (MyOrchid). She is into quilting too. I actually have only made one quilt so I'm not in the position to give advice. An orchid quilt sounds wonderful. I'd love to see it when it's done. I haven't sewn for so long. Can't seem to find the time anymore. Do you do cross stitching?
Thankfully our heat wave has passed...just our normal summer for now. As for having problems with the site, I guess there was some virus on the site server that was hampering things. Some people's IP addresses, including mine were being blocked, but it looks like everything is fixed so far.
