Thanks for posting these! | Nope - that's a Dean Haas (3" pot) and a herraadurae (1.9" pot). My herraa. isn't far from full size; the leaves max out at 3" long and some are already that big.
The grower told me the paivaeana was really picky about being able to dry out and is lithophytic, and I saw some pictures of wild ones growing on rocks in a manner somewhat similar to have I have this one potted, hence the unusual potting. I have it in 3/4 pumice 1/4 charcoal and I mist the exposed roots often, and it seems to be liking it. It's right next to an open window, so it gets southern light and lots of air, plus it stays cool.
