| Greetings from Alberta Greetings everyone - new to here, but not to orchids. Started growing orchids in 1985. Have catt, phal, paph, phrag, den, cym, tol, and a few other genera. Grow mainly under lights and then windowsill. My collection includes many flasks and compots from various genera and numbers in excess of 500 plants. Other than growing orchids, food is my life, passion and career!      |

| Here are a couple of key things I have learned (the hard way!):  1) Ask the grower in what conditions the plant was growing BEFORE you buy it and then only buy what will grow in your conditions. 2) Take the time and learn to 'read' your plants. They are telling you how they are doing......you just have to listen. |
