I'm new here, and from what I've seen so far I think I'm going to really like it. I belong to another board that's for Pomeranian owners and one of the members got me hooked on orchids a couple of years ago. He has over 600. I only have about 55, mostly phals. but a few others also. I can wait to get aquainted and see everyones orchids. I put a few of my pictures in an album.

again! It's nice to meet you. 55 orchids is nothing to sneeze at! We have members with hundreds yes, but there are many that only have a couple. Anyways, it's great to have you with us! We have several members from Canada, too.

Hi Cheryl, welcome to the happy geeks show. With 55 plants you with be quite experienced and perhaps you can help other members. Lots of lovely people on the forum worldwide, some with vast amounts of orchid knowledge. Nice to have you on board.

Hello and WELCOME!!! I only have 19 orchids.. so your doing good! Let me see if I can help you out with that a little.

When you log in it automatically brings up all the threads with the newest unread posts.
If you want to go the screen that has the different sections and groups of threads click on the enter orchid board forum at the top of the welcome screen or if on another page at the top of your screen click on orchid forum orchid care to get there.

To upload pictures you can either choose the manage attachment option at the bottom of your post when you make a new one and attach them there or you can upload them directly to the site. To upload them to the site go here (I bookmarked this address) http://www.orchidgeeks.com/gallery/upload.php?c=2 once you upload your photo copy and paste the text in the field next to BB image code into your post and the picture will be there.

You will be automatically subscribed to the posts you reply to and can go into your user cp (upper right hand corner) to view your subscribed threads, you can also choose to view all of your subscribed threads if one want is not listed.

I hope that helps and I didn't confuse you. It took me a while to learn how to get around here because i had never been in a forum before!

Thanks Kortney, I hope I can get all that, I'm not used to a forum either. Can you see my album or no, and how about my picture, will this all help get that up there with my posts as well?

Cheryl, your album link is on your user profile, all eighteen great pics. of your orchids. So all who read your post do not know that you have an album to view. If you place the link on your next post everyone will enjoy your pics.

You don't need a link. Just click on the name sassismom next to your avatar, and the menue pops up! Click on view public profile, and there you are! (looking at that adorable doggie! Your album is on that page too- Just click on it!
