Just wanted to introduce myself...

My name is Jenn and I live in Wilmington, NC near the beach. I'm a student at UNC-Wilmington studying Anthropology. I'm obviously an orchid lover and have a small collection of about 30 plants, mostly phals and dens. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

Hi, Jennifer. My name is Larissa and I live in Manhattan, KS. I have only two orchids right now. I'm quickly becoming addicted :-) My first love is amaryllis. I have a bajillion so if you ever need a bulb, I'm your man. lol Great to meet you.

You know, my collection started out as a phal and a den about 6 years ago (which I still have I might add). Now, that has grown into just about 30 plants! Give in to the dark side... hehehe!

I love NC and I am really glad that I grew up here. We have it all... mountains, foot hills, piedmont, and of course the beach. Whatever your pleasure, you're within 6-8 hours of it! I live at the beach right now in Wilmington with my boyfriend. As soon as I graduate, we are probably moving to the Chapel Hill area so I can go to grad school. Sadly enough I've never managed to go to the Outer Banks. I think this summer is time to remedy that... because it truly is a shame!! And I already have an orchid addiction... you couldn't possibly make it any worse!! Well.......... perhaps.

For the rest of you guys, thanks again for the welcome! It's rare that you get such warm responses so quickly... maybe this place will be just as addicting as the orchid addiction....

Hello and welcome to the forum. Yes Jennifer, this place is as addicting as the orchids. Especially with all of the fun group projects that are going on. If you are trying to keep your collection around 30, then you might be in trouble here.
