A new member from Singapore!

Hi everyone!

I'm from Singapore (yes, a long ways off!) and I'm quite new to orchid growing. Never liked gardening despite having a wife that does... Well, I followed her on an outing with like-minded group of friends and I was hooked by the diversity and beauty of orchids. I'm a hobbyist photographer and I just love taking photos of them...

In a little under 3 months, I now have 28 orchids. That's almost one every 3 days. :P

I'm into Phals (and related) and Dends with a bit of Catts thrown in for good measure. (and love cats too)

Wish I could get my husband interested in orchids that easily. I been growing for about 45 years, married to him for 40, and no signs what so ever of the slightest interest (unless he can eat then). If you find beauty in orchid flowers, you would probably like mineral collecting, if such things were highly available in your area. Many mineral specimins have the same kind of exquisit beauty. Come to think of it, yes, I like minerals too. Have a few Opals at home... Not high quality ones, just fridge magnets...
