| hello. I live in Miami and my orchid obsession started 5 years ago with an oncidium that I purchased for my husband. I grow them in the yard, mostly on palms and trees.I have approximately 150 plants. I have killed some, but most thrive. Snails are my enemy, followed by the dreaded thrips. My pride and joy is my dendrobium bracteosum which has been in constant bloom for the past two years and my gramatophyllum speciosum. |

| Welcome! I'm in Weston. I too have been collecting more and more orchids since I moved here from Wisconsin (3.5 years ago). My biggest enemy is thrips. My vandas have not bloomed in a year. Every time a bloom starts developing it turns into a brown stalk. I have treated with Bayer 3 in 1 but have had no luck getting them to bloom. good luck with all of yours, NancyG |
