New this Forum

Hi everyone,
This is the first forum I have tried, and I have already seen that there are a lot of good folks here that enjoy Orchids as I do.
I got started about 2 years ago after going to a show in Homestead FL. (Redlands Orchid Festival) with my girlfriend. I just went along to make her happy. Well I bought a Vanda just to make it look like I was interested and get a little closer to her wants, you know guys , sometimes you do just about anything to keep them interested. Anyway, I got home and placed it in an Oak tree. It looked so good that I went to Home Depot and bought a Dendrobium.
Well I guess you know the rest, I got the bug and now try to learn all I can about these beautiful treasures of life.
I hope to contribute to this Forum as time goes on, Thanks for all your wonder posts with all the wonderful information...Milt

I'm relatively new to Orchids as well. I have just two phals: 1 for a year and 1 for two years.

LOL Aaron, we love booze and football here too. We just make up for those bad habits with the best habit = orchids.

Thank you all for the welcome you have given me. I hope to post some Pics soon. I have about 95 plants at this time. I also have a question to ask about a orchid I am looking for ,so I will look at the forum to best see where I should ask the question at.

I am a fairly newbie too! I have 10 orchids now.....and am very pleased with them..... They are fast becoming my treasures!
