I too am in Florida.. SE Florida (and its a hot one today).

I just love orchids - I grow them all outside. I am a newbie and I don't know much about them other than I adore them. I look forward to learning tons of information here.

Wow, it's great if you can grow them outside. I can only grow my cymbidium outside in summer and spring stupid intermediate climate...

You're in good company - great info from knowledgeable people and quite a few of us from Flori-duh. I grow all of mine outside on a screened in porch. No problems except the ones which are self-inflicted. Ask when you need something, share when you've got something and send pics.

I wish I had intermediate climate. Imagine all the orchids that love that climate outdoors instead of having to set up a GH.
