Question Hello from Orlando

This forum is great! Have been reading and reading and learning quite a bit along the way. I have very little orchid experience, but trying to save the life of a phal. I think the entire bottom of the plant is dead, but the crown has three roots and quite a few nodules which appear to be new roots, along with a flower spike which has been trying to grow for weeks and weeks. Since I believe the bottom is completely gone, I have been misting the crown and roots a couple of times a day and now have a new leaf forming. The plant has three other leaves that don't look so good. My question is, if I repot it now and cut off all the dead roots on the bottom, do I leave the dead stalk on the bottom, or try to cut it back until I find live stalk? Any other pointers about repotting will also be greatly appreciated.

Hello Idk,
Welcome.
This is an interesting post and the kind that would usually a lively response. Why don't you try reposting this under Orchid Care & Cultivation. I think there are lots of folks who would have comments for you.

Hello and welcome. I know I said that already in your other post about your phal, but I thought I should say it again here in the greetings. Hope you are finding the help you need for your phal. If you still have questions, ask them too.
