Hi and welcome to the forum Hung Le. I was stationed in Bien Hua (excuse the spelling)
back during the Vietnam War. I only wish I was into growing orchids then because your
country has some of the most beautiful orchids in the world there. I know things have
changed quite a bit since then, but I would love to go back and visit again. When did
you leave Vietnam?

Hi Hung Le, I was born in Burma. Our original countries are close together. Welcome and nice to meet you. When my husband and I was in Paris, we went into a Vietnamese restaurant cause we were craving Asian food and there was the owner speaking fluent French. I thought it was great! Kinda took us by surprise. You must speak fluent German too. Anyhow, I too would love to see your orchids from Vietnam.

to Solay: in Burma there are too many interresting Orchid. I have bought one phals new species from Burma. But I do not know what is his name hihi. I must waiting for blooming

Really? I haven't been back to Burma since 1998. I wasn't growing orchids yet then so I didn't even see any. I was in Thailand in 98 too and did visit a place that had beautiful Dendrbiums hanging off coconut trees. Please post a picture when it does bloom. Love to see it. Thanks.

roflmao!, zer gut! ich habe drei (ok memory loss now) years in high school and I am horrible with spelling, lol even in english. I can read deutsch better than I can speak it or write it. Its funny I remember the most random words and i learned it by association with sign language so picture me trying to remember and making hand gestures, lol!

Vietnam has many Orchids (Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, Paph, ....). I will post the Phal new species of Burma next week.
