| Hi and welcome to the forum Emily. As Norris stated, it would be helpful to update your location so that we can not only assist you on this post, but for future posts that you may make. Also, please tell us about your orchid. Any name on the tag? What type of media is it potted in?

| Hello, and welcome. I have heard minis are fun stuff. I have a friend who has some growing in a vivarium with his dart frogs.

| again, depends on your plant, but--bud blast (where the buds shrivel and fall off) can be caused by almost anything, up to and including simply moving the plant from one environment to another. so don't worry, you probably haven't killed it.

| Hi Emily and welcome ! ![]() Could you please update your profile location as different locations = different advice. Would you by chance have pics of your mini? There are several factors to take into consideration. How long ago did you buy the plant? If it was fairly recent, this could be bud blast due to adjusting to your conditions to your enviroment. If you have had the plant for a while, then it could be from over watering, the type of medium compared to the enviroment, or disease. What kind of conditions are you providing for the plant? If you could, please post pics so that we can help even further.
