Hi,
My name's Mariana, I'm from Mexico City and I'm relatively new to orchids though I have five: a rhyncostele cordatum, a phalaenopsis, an encyclia bractescens, a prostechea cochleata (which was my first orchid) and a nice purple dendrobium hybrid (whose leaves are turning yellow, so if someone knows what to do, please tell mee!! ) I love orchids, they're beautiful and delicate. So I hope to get information and advice from experienced people...

Dendrobiums generally don't keep their leaves for very many years. Depending on the parentage, it could be as short as one year. And some times the culture will encourage or discourge a year or two difference. So, if the plant is starting a new growth, don't worry too much about leaf loss. If the new growth starts having trouble, let us know. Cynthia, Prescott, AZ
