Greetings from Indonesia

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and newbie to the orchid world. Im started raising orchid since the earlier of 2008. Ive both dendrobium and phaleonopsis orchid. And found that is difficult to grow up orchids baby from the bottles. My parents bought orchids bottles since the earliear of last year. And they seems very hard to grow. It's been a year, and they seems so small. Hope i found a lot from this community.

Theo.

Hi Theo, welcome to the forum. You will find lots of information to help you, and lots of nice people to offer it. I have not got into flasking plants but many of the members are active with growing from flasks. I do know that the time to get plants to bloom from seedlings can be measured in years, depending on the species. Good luck with your plants.

Bill

So these are the pictures of my orchids that grow from the flask. it's been a year . . . and the grow is so slow. some of them die after 2-3 month seddling.

i think you need to remove some of the seedling from the coconut husk. It is too wet.
If the seedling you want to grow is vanda , take it out put the root on the media.
if the seedling you are growing is Phalaenopsis .. leave it. it should be fine

oh, almost forget you won't be seeing flowers until 1 year and 6 months (minimum)
for Cattleya 2 years. Dendrobium 1 year.
