Does you new orchid have a name tag

with out a name tag or a picture of your orchids its almost impossible to tell you just what sort of orchid you do have.

From what I could find out, I believe it is a hybrid Cattleya derived from 3 separate sub-genera within the Cattleya species. Taxonomy can be confusing, and I hope not to attract the attention of the orchidgeeks taxonomy police, but here goes:

Blc. (Brassolaeliocattleya) ( Love Knot x Digbyana) 'Carmela'

(Brassavola x Laelia x Cattleya) (Parent Orchids) (The name chosen by the person who hybridized the parent plants)

By the way peeps, aliceinorchidland is my mother, whom with the help of an orchid gift from my sister, is now an orchid addict as we all are. I took her to the NYBG orchid show on Sat. and she got this new catt. It's a beauty, and quite fragrant! I'll help her post a picture of it as soon as I can. I brought her to this forum for help when she needs it at times when I can't be around.
