Just wanted to say hello from Michigan! Looking forward to learning a lot and getting great advice. My plants have become a great joy for me. I hope to get some great pictures this year and will post when blooms arrive.

I have 3 phals- Aphrodite, Maestro Rossini, and Baldan's Kaleidoscope. The former is struggling right now and I hope to nurse it into bloom this spring. I have had it the longest, 3 years, and it has produced flowers at least once every year. I think it needs better light as its leaves are dark green and more than likely need to repot. We recently moved to a new house and all of my plants lost their lovely diffuse south-southwest light. We also had a kitten join our family, so I am still working out the best placement for my plants in our new house.

Hi CKC, Welcome to the forum. Love,love,love your little kitten! How old is it? Boy or girl? Got a name? My three cats leave my orchids pretty much alone. This is the result of a well aimed squirt gun and the constant admonition of "No,no". And it may be just me, but I don't think they like the thickness of phalaenopsis leaves. Too bad,LOL!
