Hi there!
I'm so excited to find your site! I typically use the internet to figure out care and species for my plants and this site seems perfect!
My husband and I just moved across town to stay with the in-laws and my mother-in-law definitely has a green thumb so I was really excited to share that aspect of our relationship. However (!!!!), she's from El Salvador and doesn't speak very much English and I don't speak any Spanish! So already regarding plants we've had a bit of conflict. So I'm excited to learn more and fix some things that have happened and save my babies.
A bit about me - I'm a flight attendant and recently married. So when I'm gone my hubby has the responsibility to open the shades and water our 'chids (if I'm gone more than 4 days) We love chilling, drinking, watching movies, listening to all kinds of music, traveling and camping.
So, I'm gonna go take some pictures of the little ones and their booboo's.

try to give in the elderly, they see more body language than spoken. having a
good mother-in-law also very helpful when the children come along. That
way you get "free" baby sister and most important of all trustworthy .

Not to mention two person water the plant is better than one person. It only
took one oversea trip to kill my seedling.

Welcome Beca! Being a flight attendant is awesome! I'm terrified of flying!
I know that some orchids are native to El Salvador- maybe your mother-in-law can shed some light on the localities, etc.! Good to meet you!
