Halcyon is on a distinguished road
Hello from Southwestern Ontario

I discovered this forum only two days ago, and am loving it!
I received my first Phal for Christmas 2006, and now have 12 phals (mainly NOIDS), one Catt, one slc, one Den, one Paph and a Brassia. The local Orchid Society is responsible for some of these! I was hooked long before my original orchids rebloomed.
I began growing on windowsills but now have lights. I think I'll have to go back to work, just to finance my growing addiction!

Welcome to the forum, Halcyon.

Just in case you are still interested in more Phals., Costco has hundreds of NOID Phals. There were at least 200 of them last week in one store here.

flowerchild: I did not there is a show coming up in March! I will check it up...
Thanks for the info.

Thank you all for your warm welcomes. This must be the friendliest forum I have been on!

Flowerchild, I live in London, but my son is in Waterloo. I'm not sure about the RBG show yet, as my hubby might be in Montreal. I'll drop you a line later. We might go to the Stratford Garden Show, Feb 28 - March 2.

Piveki, I bought three phals last week, and need to be chained down! "I'm just a gal who can't say no!" (One was a "rescue" Baldan's Kaleidoscope for $5 from Walmart, but once the dehydration was addressed it was surprisingly healthy.) Unfortunately (!) we don't have a Costco membership any more, and I've never seen phals at Sam's.
