 Hi I'm New! Hi, I'm new to this forum, and didn't know there was an introductions section, sorry  So I'm a little late to introducing myself, but here I am! I'm a native of California, and am currently studying philosophy and orchids in my free time  I have a cattleya and two phals, one currently growing the most adorable little spike. Also if you could update your profile and let us know where in Calif. you are, it would be helpful in your future posts since the state has so many different climatic areas. |

| Hi & welcome to the forum, Bunny! Like Tobi mentioned, please add where in CA you are. I've lived in the San Francisco bay area and now live in Central Valley area. The temps and humidity levels are soooo different, even within the bay area.

| Bunny, I love Monterey! We visit it every year if we can, and stay close to cannery row. If I recall correctly, there should be an orchid show in town, or nearby, this coming May. When i get info, I'll post it in the Upcoming Shows section of this forum.

| The car I was in was a hunk-a-junk, and I was afraid of getting pulled over  so I doubt I was speeding. I just enjoyed the ride so much I guess I didn't realise the time and distance! Loved it out there! Much different than in NYC.
