Hello from not so sunny England

Hi i just wanted to say hello!
I have 5 orchids (i seem to have got the orchid bug) i'm trainnig to be a counselour so i'm very busy!!! I do Kendo, grow bonsai and lots of other things as well as being a parent. well that's all folks!! just thanks for reading this post.

Hi,
I'm studying to be humanistic counslour and maybe work with addicts! I'm growing 5 Phalaenopsis orchids...but looking to expand my collection soon. Any recomendations?

Hi Johnboy, (from not so sunny Yorkshire) Welcome to the forum. You'll soon need counselling for an "addiction" youself. There is no cure for this one but I'm happy to put up with the side effects.

Hi Johnboy! Relax there is no cure! Bliss!If you google the British Orchid Society you'll find all sorts of useful info.Theres also a ( Edited ). (sorry, but I go on 4!) I started with 1 phal, then I was fortunate enough to be given 4 keikis (babies) then Tescos had a BOBOF in July and I acquired 4 more, and so it goes on I went from 4 to 21 last year and I'm running out of windowsills!
You'll often find orchid stalls at flower shows and the orchid soc has a show in Peterboro every year, which demands a full wallet and several credit cards if I am to believe it! But start slowly be careful on ebay. Do lots of reading and of course come on here, you'll learn lots have your appetite whetted they are a real friendly lot, Judi
