New OrchidGeek

Hi,

I got interested in orchid after my wife bought our first orchid plant - if I'm not mistaken it is a Dendrobium. Within 2 weeks, I had bought 07 plants but then something strike me - HEY I KNOW NUTS ABOUT ORCHIRD i.e. how to care, water, etc.

So the wild goose chase on the internet started in finding a good source of information about orchid till I find you orchidgeeks.

Hope this forum can provide me with the answers that I would like to know about this beautiful flower.

My Dendrobium leaves went from stiff to mushy, mushy soft because I read an article that says do not water too much or no water in winter. Then it turn yellow & wringkle.

I went to ask an old man at the nursery. He said - "Your orchid gonna die......"

Hey my orchird is only 01 week old & it gonna die on me.....

Finally after asking around, one kind gentleman advice me to give your orchid extra water. Looks like it is working. A few of the leaves had harden abit already.

Hope it will not dieeee..... IT'S MY WIFE'S ORCHID

Hello, Rmt135...glad you found us. Lots of the people here grow dendrobiums! Listen to them before some old man that tells you your orchid is going to die. The help and advice you get here will prove him wrong
You have found the right place

Hi & welcome to the forum, rmt135.

I have several Dendrobiums in my collection. However, I have yet to add a nobile type. Mine are mostly the phalaenopsis type Dendrobium.
