Newbie!

Hello everyone,
I started growing orchids 4 months ago, and already I have about 30 plants (phals, dens and cats).
I have a feeling my collection will bet even bigger, now that I have joined our local orchid society!
Anyway, I hope to learn from all the members here and put in my two cents worth!
Cheers,
Miki

Welcome, and at this rate, 30 orchids in 4 months, you should have a greenhouse in 2 months. LOL

Hope you enjoy your stay,

Hi Jay,
It all started when I bought 4 dendrobium kingianums from a garage sale... They are flowering now! No casualties yet..
I have kind of stopped buying orchids. The members in my orchid club have educated me in selecting good stock. So, I am better behaved now!
I tried to grow orchids about 10 years ago- not very successfully. That was back in the dark ages, with no internet.
Now I can chat to other orchid enthusiast all over the world...

I completely understand. I am trying to look for certain orchids now instead of buying any Noid that was on sale. I'm not saying I don't like my other orchids, I am just being a little bit more picky now.

jay

P.S. We love to see pictures, especially if you say the phrase "flowering now!"
