new orchid lover

Hello to everybody,
I'm Vasso from Greece and i started growing orchids last September.
I was really glad when i found that forum...
I have 3 phalaenopsis, one Cambria(oncidium, i think) and one zygopetalum.
My babies were doing really well, but the last 14 days one of my phalaenopsis is "attacked" by a "pest" , which eats her leaves and leaves white spots on them. I have also noticed that there are some bumps on her leaves, as if there is something into the leaf...any idea????
Any help is very welcome!

Hi Vasso and welcome to the forum!

Do you think your pest is an insect fo some kind? Does it chew holes in your leaves or do you just notice the little white spots?

A mild insecticide may kill off the pests. I do not know what kind of mild insecticides they sell in Greece but perhaps a local plant nursery will be helpful.

The name "Cambria" isn't a real orchid name. It is a name used in the trade and referrs generally to hybrids of the Oncidium Alliance. I encourage orchid hobbiests and growers to stop using the name and use the proper names instead.

Hi and welcome to the forum Vasso. Are you growing your orchids indoors or outdoors?
When you say "it's" eating it's leaves, is it a bite mark or a hole? The hard bumps on
the leaves could be a scale infestation. If you could post a pic later that would be
helpful.
