New to this forum, just wanted to say hi, and tell you a little about myself.

I have been raising orchids now for around 14 years give or take a year or 2. Not sure how long ago it was that I saw my first orchid setting in the greenhouse. I do member it was a Cattleya and it was Orange. I just fell in love with Orchids that very second. Let me say, it did not take me long to kill this lovely Cattleya for at that time I did not know any thing about raising orchids.
I am a windowsill grower, with around 90 orchids. Most grow in my big south windows some in an east bay window and a few in the west window.
My collection consist of around 26 Cattleya, 19 Phalaenopsis, 5 Phragmipedium,
And my favorite is Paphiopedilum of which I have around 25. Then there are the misc. Orchids that number around 15.

Laura, welcome. I loved looking at your website and your beautiful pictures. If you can get these results as a windowsill grower, perhaps there is still hope for me! :-)

thanks I am glad you like my site. I have on my wish list a sunroom it is at the top of my list but I do not think it is going to ever happen, so I will just be happy with my windows for now..
