| Since it was so kindly suggested by the site to introduce myself, here I am! I'm a 25 year old college student from Michigan, USA. I'm very very new to orchids, got my first one last week. I have other types of plants that I keep, but mainly they're easier to keep than orchids. I could definitely use a few tips! Anyway, thanks and remember to smile! |

| WHO told you orchids are hard to keep ? There are a few simple basic rules to follow, all of which are on this site. Although we have heard the same questions over and over, we don't mind re answering, as ALL of us were Nebs at some time and we just want to put something back. Ther are a lot of info sheets here which Fred could direct you to. Read them, then ask questions. I started a folder and print interesting posts and put them into the folder for future reference. Also any interesting info gleened off the Web goes into it to. Depending on what you want many of us have Web links that we can pass on. My name is Anton, I am an Orchidoholic and don't give a damn.

| Hi Dizalove, Welcome to the forum. I lived my entire life in Michigan until I moved to Australia here 3 years ago. I still have much fondness for the state and return to see family and friends whenever I can. Are you a member of anorchid society yet? There are many, many good ones in Michigan. Cheers!
