| Michael, hello and welcome! 20 years, wow. Really looking forward to reading more from you, seeing pics of your collection and picking up some pointers from a veteran! I'm an orchid newbie with only 6 months but I'm hooked for life and am doing quite well with the care involved, thanks to people here on the forum. What kind of exotic fruit plants are you growing? That's one thing I love about living in the south east, living in the tropics and so in love with the vegetation and how everything grows fairly easily...in comparison to other parts of the country; it's like living in one big greenhouse. Looking forward to your posts and again, welcome! P.S. I have a good friend living in Ponchatoula, LA. Is that anywhere close to you? Last edited by sandra; 07-24-2007 at 07:16 PM. |

| Wow, what a great welcome. Thank you all. I am looking forward to learning more as well in the forums and expanding my growing comfort zone. My collection is mostly warm to hot growing species. I have narrowed my collecting to species to avoid those spur of the moment purchases and to keep my collection to a manageable size. I also enjoy diversifying my genera through trades. Here in SE Louisiana, my growing area is outside during warmer months, greenhouse in winter. |
