Aurelia, welcome to the forum. You wiil receive masses of good orchid advice, and meet some very good people here. I must confess that your name has raised memories for me. This richly evocative name was one of the most common in the Christian inscriptions of the Roman Empire, but is rarely heard in modern life, even if Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger did use it as a middle name for their daughter Christina. Fascinating

Bill.

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome!

To Fred: I have a Phalaenopsis that blooms white flowers with purple spots. That is the extent of my knowledge. I there a more specific name for my orchid?

To Brookn: No I don't own the poster. i found the pic on the internet. Maybe I should do some more research!!

Kmarch: Thank-you. That is a beautiful orchid. What kind is it?

Bill: I was actually named for the Pendragon family of the Authurian legend. My mother is quite creative and well read. My sister is named after a character in Shakespear's The Tempest, Ariel.
